The coffee with a crown of froth
Cappuccino is one of the best-loved ways of preparing coffee. The quality of the cappuccino will depend on the espresso coffee and on the texture and temperature of the milk. Descriptions of this drink have been in existence since the 17th century, when it became popular.
- 100 ml of milk
- Espresso coffee
- Powdered cocoa or cinnamon
- Sugar (to taste)
Pour the coffee from your espresso machine and heat the milk without letting it boil. To create the froth, begin with a little air to heat the milk and when you increase the level of steam, the milk will froth up. Pour the hot milk, and then top the mixture with the milk froth. Dust with a little powdered cocoa or cinnamon. It’s usually served in a cup (capacity of about 170 ml).
