Café Bombón

Prepare a coffee with condensed milk

Coffee transformed into a sweet temptation

Café Bombón is a mixture of espresso coffee and condensed milk. This drink emerged in Alicante and has spread through other regions of the Iberian peninsula. In some regions of South America it’s prepared with sweet milk instead of condensed milk.

Ingredients

  • Espresso coffee
  • Condensed milk (to taste)

Preparation

The key to Café Bombón lies in the different densities of the coffee and the condensed milk. Pour the milk into the glass and then the espresso. The ingredients won’t mix and the coffee will be left floating on top of the condensed milk. It’s usually served in a glass (capacity of about 130 ml).
